Johnson Central has won 2 regional titles in the last six years and Paintsville 0.  That has to be an itch Paintsville fans want to scratch.  Especially in a year when Paintsville was picked to win it all, and had two of the top five players in the region, and now thye have to watch JC  parade around for a whole year with REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP T-shirts every where they look.  That may be motivation for next year.
