FINDLAY, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan College football dropped its first ever meeting with the University of Findlay Oilers on Friday night, dropping a 68-14 decision to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference newcomers. Friday marked the end of the Kentucky Wesleyan Homecoming tour as the Panthers took part in five straight weeks of Homecoming games.

The Panthers move to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the G-MAC while the Oilers improve 7-1 overall and remain unbeaten in the conference at 4-0.

Findlay produced a dominant first quarter, putting 27 points on the scoreboard. The Panthers tallied their lone scored of the half midway through the first frame. Quarterback Mike McGee found Avery Hanes for a 21-gain to advance to the Findlay 27-yard line. A personal foul on the Oilers moved the Panthers into the red zone and McGee connected with Jared Beard for a 13-yard touchdown reception. Chris Logsdon nailed the extra point to put the Panthers on the board at 20-7.

The Oilers scored another 20 points in the second quarter to take a commanding 47-7 to halftime.

Ladarrius Dunn exploded for a 71-yard touchdown in the third quarter after catching a short pass from McGee. Logsdon nailed his second extra point of the night.

Findlay tallied a pair of touchdowns in the final frame to take the first ever meeting between the two teams by a score of 68-14.

McGee, the reigning G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week finished with 224-yard passing on 18 completions including two touchdowns. Dunn led the Panthers with 82-yards on two receptions. Corey Johnson Jr. averaged 12.3 yards per catch on three catches for 37-yards. Beard finished with three receptions with a long of 25-yards.

Tyler Martin-Miles and Malcolm Johnson led the Panthers with eight tackles including six solo apiece. James Todd tabbed seven tackles with five solo. Peyton Marksbury recorded six tackles, all of which were solo. Dalton Parr led the defense with two tackles for loss while Todd and Jonathan Ford tallied one a piece.

Logsdon finished a perfect two-for-two on extra point attempts with 132-yards on three kickoffs for an average of 44-yards. Eman Westmoreland averaged 35.7-yards on nine punts for a total of 321-yards including one inside the 20-yard line.

Myles Walker tabbed 61-yards on four kick offs returns with a longest of 20-yards.
