This is the first year of 3-5 defense. It’s been 3-4. Quit the 6 to 10 receiver rotation and use some on defense. If 4 can’t play a whole game. They aren’t in shape. I played both ways my Jr and Sr year. And NEVER was tired after a game. Might be sore on Saturday. But never tired. At this point I’d try anything to have ball control with ball security. Why try to score in 3 minutes when you can’t stop anyone??? 2 backs and running the ball will open up passing game. They are too predictable.

Since you said you played there. How do you not know that during their streak of state titles under Mueller they ran a 3-5 on defense at the start of the streak? Because they DID!

A 3-4 becomes a 5-2 if a team has 2 TE's. The OLB's walk down on a TE if it is on their side.
