As it stands in district....

1. Whitley 3-0 -- Guaranteed 1 seed
2. North Laurel -- 3-1 District games over. (Guaranteed 2 seed.)
3. Harlan County -- 1-2
4. Letcher Central -- 1-2
5. Perry Central -- 0-3

Scenarios....

If Letcher/Perry loses, and Harlan County wins----- Harlan Co. will be the 3 and Letcher the 4

If Letcher and Harlan County loses and Perry wins, that sets up a 3 way tie for 3rd which would give Letcher the 3 seed and PERRY the 4 seed. HC would be eliminated...

If Letcher/HC wins and Perry loses then HC will get the 3 and Letcher the 4.

In other words, the chances of PCC beating HC are VERY small, but IF it were to happen and Whitley were to beat Letcher, then HC would not win the tiebreaker and miss out on the playoffs. Hard to believe, but true. PCC has wins over Lynn Camp 6 wins and Breathitt 5 or 6 wins and Letchers has wins over Pike Central, Breathitt, and a couple of VA teams. Harlan County doesn't have anything except Clay County 1 win and possibly Bell 3 or 4 wins.


After Friday though, ill be shocked if it doesn't end up like this....

1. Whitley
2. North
3. Harlan Co.
4. Letcher

And in the playoffs, I would also be surprised if its not....

South at Whitley
Harlan County @ Pulaski

Lincoln County @ North
Letcher @ Southwestern

Only difference MAY be if PC beats SW Friday then those two would flip.
