Pikeville Football Game by Game Results

I'm kin to the Rameys that founded Elkhorn, so I know a bit about its history.
Elkhorn was the original name. In 1882, it became Praise per the govt, but the railroad still used Elkhorn. EC was incorporated in 1912, but the post office remained Praise.
Cumberland (no 's') HS opened in 1926 in Praise/EC, Ky. (you decide)
In 1952, the Praise p.o. was finally renamed Elkhorn City, as was the HS.

Harlan Co's Cumberland HS was built in the early 1930s.

9/12/1980 - actually was St. Paul, Va, down in Wise County.

I've been doing research on the Buchanan teams, and I found a couple of things different. Unfortunately, I didn't note if I got the scores from a yearbook or which paper. Our local weekly lost all their pre-52 issues in the 77 flood.

I have the 1943 game as a 9-7 W for us - believe it was down here.
I have the 1953 game as a 7-19 L for us.
