Pikeville has won 9 regional championships:
1991, 1992, 1993, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2010 and 2012.

Sheldon Clark won the region in 2006.

Betsy Layne won a regional title in the 90s.

Before the current state baseball format, 4 sectionals were held with 4 region winners competing in each section.

The winner of the sectional advanced to the final four the following weekend.

There was a time when there was 4 sectionals & 8 sectionals (2003-2009).


The KHSAA scoreboard only goes back to the 1998 season... so I don't know how far back the 4 sectional alignment goes, the 4 sectional alignment ended in 2002.
