Amos McCreary Named Bell County Head Football Coach
TheHotSnakes Wrote:I'm not trying to argue, but, literally, ask any coach on any level. Player led teams are ultimately what you want. They motivate themselves better, they inspire themselves better. I don't think you quite understood what I meant with player led. I'm not talking about player coaches here, I'm talking about the players taking the responsibility and ownership of the program more than coaches, and especially in the absence of coaches. Again, I promise you that any coach worth anything, will agree with me on that.

With spring practice in this state, you get what amounts to 5 full contact practices. We're really going to sit here and act like 5 full contact practices and 5 non-contact practices are just the defining factor in a good team? Football is still football. Install in June, and everybody is caught up now.

Kids can lift on their own. Guaranteed. Is there a gym within driving distance of the high school? Then those kids should have been there. I had 100% confidence that there would have been someone somewhere who could have and would have helped guide those kids. I have no doubt about that, at all.

Again, I'm not trying to argue, and I have no dog in this fight, but this whole situation seems crazy to me. And that crazy is involving everybody. Players, parents, admin, former coaches, fans and current coaches.

EDIT: Just for clarification, I've seen incredibly complex offense installed in 4 days. Period. It doesn't take months. It takes hours.

I do not know what you call complex. But this is laughable. There is not a simple let alone complex offense or defense that can be installed in HOURS that is the most ridiculous statement i have ever heard. Please humor me and tell me where you saw this hour offense installed and who was doing it i have to know. And if players on ANY level got it hours maybe you could tell me a little bit about this system i should be able to get a gist of it in MINUTES just by reading some about it.......Seriously tho lets hear about this.
