The bylaw says there has to be permission granted from each participating schools principal designated person. If that person gives consent, it is allowable. It appears perhaps, that in the Graves County situation, contact was made directly with a participant. That's what went sideways there. It appears anyway. I see nothing wrong with open gyms as long as the proper parties follow the rules. I can remember open gyms with Jenkins WAY back in the day. No one transferred over it, and both sides benefitted from the drills and coaching.

And I find it hilarious that an East Ridge basketball fan is banging the drums over "recruits". Pot, meet kettle. Lol

Tell me one principal in Pike County who will give Pikeville High School permission to "coach" their student-athletes?

Kevin Justice and Randy McCoy......? No
Greg Napier and Jim Bob Hicks......? No
Mark Gannon and Philip Haywood.....? No
David Rowe may be the only one who wouldn't care....Still doubt it though

I don't know who is in charge of Phelps, but Pikeville and Belfry have been raiding them for years.
