It's a big investment, but in my opinion, the competition you play is not the most important thing to consider.
1. Weather / Temperatures are more than likely going to be better for baseball whether you go to FL, SC, or GA
2. Unlimited time with your players for individual practices, meetings, personal evaluation
3. Unlimited jv/freshman games
4. Chemistry. Kids jelling together and becoming a "team". Getting to see each other outside of the classroom, bus, or ball field.
5. Responsibility. Kids have to keep up with and wear the correct jersey, caps, belt, cleats, socks, etc. Be on time to meetings, practices, games, etc. Possibly for the first time without assistance from a relative.
