Let's see if I can remember what Lou Dobbs said tonight. This is the first time in history that the Republican front runner has had to face, both party establishments, liberals, lobbyists, special interests, the media, the Pope, the President, Party leaders and elitists, Mexico etc.

The point? In Washington DC a lot of agencies and lobbies are sort of cozied up to one another in a kind of interdependency of favors, control and power. So, one might ask the question why so many powerful groups and leaders are directing so much fire on Donald Trump? Would that be because they are concerned for the good of the country? In light of the recent past that seems laughable. Remember, this is the group who presently oversee border security, national security, the banking system, ObamaScare, they want to finish seeding the Supreme Court and last but not least, these are the ones who have so adeptly guided us to a staggering 20 Trillion dollar debt. Oh, and did I not just hear that Obama wants to go out with a bang ringing up a parting budget this year of 4.5 TRILLION? So if I have this correct, George W was unpatriotic in hanging 4 T on this country in 8 years, but 4.5 in one year is just fine. But I digress.

Trump is the wild card. He is the one that none of the powers that be will be able to buy, threaten, or otherwise control. Thus the not so friendly fire. So, they don't want Cruz and they don't want Trump. They will evidently, accept Hill or a criminally insane socialist. And they will accept Rubio, Kasich or unbelievably, Jeb Bush.

And we should understand something here. If it were to come to pass that Trump was somehow eliminated, all that incoming would be narrowed to fall completely and only on one Ted Cruz. The left absolutely hate him and so does the media, and roughly two thirds of his own conference. In my mind Trump has framed this election thus far in spite of his obvious flaws and thin skin.

Lou Dobbs is wrong. Donald Trump is a special interest and lobbyist and he has benefited immensely from a very friendly media that has given him tens of millions of dollars worth of free publicity.

As I pointed out elsewhere, Trump is not self-funded. He is loaning his campaign as much as it needs and there is nothing to stop him from paying his campaign back with donations, just like every other candidate in the race. Trump has and continues to solicit donations at the same time that he claims that he is self funded. This is just one of the many whoppers told by the Orange Opportunist.

Winning is not everything. Character still matters in this country, although it seems to matter to fewer and fewer people. I hope that Jeb Bush was right about one thing and that is you cannot insult your way into the White House. If Trump is able to lie and insult his way to the presidency, he will have set a very troublesome precedent.
