Cordia 62 Murray 45 All"A" State Championship

WALL2WALL Wrote:I really don't care anybody's opinion on the matter, the high school I proudly graduated from won a state title and I was in Frankfort Sunday rooting them on. When the sanctions came down many of these kids could have went to any of the schools that contacted them but no, they decided to be loyal to Rhodes, Alice, and the entire community that embraced them and look what they accomplished because of it. They only graduate two Seniors so a good chance they may be competing next year in the All A as well. Many of you think the community hates these players coming in but it is entirely the opposite, many of the families in the Lotts Creek community thinks of these kids as their own and will always.

At the end of the day the 14th has a state title and I am proud to say I am and forever will be a Cordia Lion!
Too bad Cordia and the local community are not as enthusiastic about academcs as they happen to be about having a good basketball team. Cordia is consistently near the bottom in every statistical measure in academic performance at the elementary, middle and high school level. But the school can spend resourcess to assist at-risk, inner-city youth, who also happen to be pretty good at hoops. Makes sense.
