Obama took obvious shots at Trump and Cruz during the SOTU. Tell me this, I haven't watched a whole lot of them, is that a regular thing to do during that? I know there's a lot of political cheap shots being taken but I figured the SOTU was more to unite than divide.

With that being said, Nikki Haley's response disgusted me even more than Obama. I can think of plenty who could have given a better response. Cruz and Trump are combining for well over 50% of the polls in the GOP primary. What does the establishment do?

"Oh no! The Democrats might be offended by their stance on closed borders! We need somebody that won't offend!"

I know I'm repeating the likes of several posters on here, but I'm straight up tired of the establishment.

The clarified rationale of the Republican establishment is now being put out there. It's the 'positive' message. What a nightmare, there is absolutely no difference between Obama's theo-political theatre and the newly adopted version that Republicans are starting to shovel. In other words, the Karl Roves, Jeb Bushes, and apparently Nikki Haleys are trying their best to morph the two parties together in a new kind of theocracy, for lack of a better term. The Secular Church of Man, I suppose. At any rate, it is a backdoor attempt by the Karl Rove wing of the Republicans to rehabilitate Jeb, who was supposed to be the "Happy Warrior" remember that one? Rove will get nastier and nastier as his boy Jeb fails to impress.

They're obviously not smart enough to realize that what people are seeing in Donald Trump's speeches IS A POSITIVE MESSAGE!!! Granny, you said it, and your reaction demonstrated it best in your post "I just can't handle the bullshit anymore." Well, neither can nobody who uses their head for anything other than a hat rack, and I for one, don't need some glorified secular cheerleader directing my path. I hope Trump takes all 50 states. And I hope the Bushes and Karl Rove retire down in Argentina somewhere.
