Obama took obvious shots at Trump and Cruz during the SOTU. Tell me this, I haven't watched a whole lot of them, is that a regular thing to do during that? I know there's a lot of political cheap shots being taken but I figured the SOTU was more to unite than divide.

With that being said, Nikki Haley's response disgusted me even more than Obama. I can think of plenty who could have given a better response. Cruz and Trump are combining for well over 50% of the polls in the GOP primary. What does the establishment do?

"Oh no! The Democrats might be offended by their stance on closed borders! We need somebody that won't offend!"

I know I'm repeating the likes of several posters on here, but I'm straight up tired of the establishment.

I agree. Her response was even more disgusting than Obama's speech. Like you, i have always avoided these, but i just watched to count the lies nicker: First he takes shots at Cruz and Trump, then turns right around and admits he didn't bring the parties together to work on issues like he should have. Mitch Mcconnell looked like a kid in a toy store smiling standing cheering Obama on. As i've said, i usually don't watch, but in the past when i did watch a few, i've never seen the opposing party stand and cheer the way these Republicans did last night. Nikki Haley said this morning that Ryan and Mcconnell approved her response before giving it, the establishment is worried right now about Trump and Cruz, and it's painfully obvious.
