Now that we've got through the holidays, what is everyone's take on the 13th so far? I would go like this.
1. Clay Co. Thought South would be a little closer, but Clay is a battle-tested, talented team. Region is theirs to lose.
2. South Laurel. A tough matchup for Clay with their size. If Griffith ever gets comfortable they could be really good. But Davis has to prove himself at crunch time, hasn't so far.
3. (Tie) North Laurel and Harlan Co. North is improved over last year, not on the level of the top 2, but could pull off a win on a good night. Harlan Co. could do the same, they have really good guard play.
Tough for me after that. Corbin will always be dangerous, Knox Central, Barbourville and Whitley all have some ability. But its hard for me to see a region winner other than Clay or South. At least right now.
