Both teams defenses were very good today. The Cardinals got a big TD early in the 3rd qtr on a punt that hit an NCC player and the Cardinals jumped on it in the end zone to go up by 14 which turned out to be the deciding score. The Breds did manage to hit on a 47 yard pass play late in the 3rd to cut the lead in half, but, never could put anything else together offensively, while Mayfield put a drive together deep in NCC territory that resulted in a 27 yard fg, putting the Cards up by 10 with under 4:00 to go and that basically put the game away.. If that didn't then NCCs next offensive play from scrimmage, they fumbled it back to the Cardinals, who basically salted the clock away from that point on.. Not the prettiest of games by either side, but, Mayfield did just enough to take home their 4th title in a row..
