Looking at this game moving forward:
1) Tigers are thin. Need to get healthy , fullback is a load.
2) Devils Punt returners were outstanding, Russell had talent edge on these plays.
3) Devils defensive line was outstanding
4) Devils offense needs to find identity. This offense has no bread and butter plays that can consistently grind out first downs. QB did throw some short passes in critical situations that were effective. Suggest adding some tight ends to give the O line a chance.
5) Team Toughness - Devils have it, many seniors who have played alot of football. Maynard has these kids in shape and they will all hit , block and tackle. Much improved over past years.
Ashland will present a different challenge - speed in backfield , looking forward to how these Devils handle it. After the Ashland and Boyd games the schedule gets much easier.
