Trump, the political hurricane, still rages
#17
Trump spoke to thousands of supporters this evening in an Alabama football stadium. The press have been trying their best to bring shame and embarrassment on him and other GOP candidates for their "anchor baby" comments. All have taken Trump's lead on the matter who has laughed in their faces passing it off as if it doesn't matter. And guess what? It really doesn't matter, LOL. The uber left media are going to hammer away about the anchor baby reference just like they did the 47% comment that Romney made. The difference is that Trump is confident enough to stand by the truth where others have not.

As I have mentioned on here a number of times, I really hate the fact that Republicans allow the Dems and their sock puppet media groupies to define them. And, no matter what history records regarding the Presidential election of 2016, one thing that will have revealed itself is the fact that it's okay to speak the truth. Trump has demonstrated that fact in a way that is absolutely undeniable. Republicans have been extremely reluctant to challenge the Dems on a single thing because of the dreaded government shutdown threat. The last time we saw a government shutdown, rigid Dems calling Republicans obstructionists, refused to give one millimeter on a single thing. Ultimately forcing a government shutdown, Dems knew the media would help them hang the all the blame for it on the Republicans. And they did just that. We got the sequester for our troubles as Republicans were blamed for that too even though it was the brain child of Obama.

Frankly, if you ask me Trump's contribution to the GOP has already been historic. Men have lost the nerve to be men these days. I have long wanted to see a Republican brave enough to just stand up, speak the truth and hold their ground ala Ronald Reagan. When the La-La's try to hang a name them, or run some other playground ruse, candidates should call them out and do what Trump does, laugh in their face and blow them off. I'll tell you right now I heard Reagan do that on live TV with my own ears and, more than once.

The short of it is this, it is possible though not inescapable, that at least some Republicans could actually wake up, put on their big boy pants and govern like men for a change. And if they do, they've (or should I say we've) got one guy to thank for it, Donald Trump. At least he recognizes that the US Treasury is as empty as Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard. US dollars have brought the Chinese into the 21st Century, as well as Japan and Mexico. That stadium was not full, but there were certainly thousands there and they were all on their feet cheering and pumping fists! I heard nearly the entire speech, and I must admit he had me jacked up too. The only guy I'd rather see get the nomination right now would have to be Cruz.

If either one of them gets the nomination and then wins the election, it would be like stepping out of the dark ages straight into the Reagan era.
