Just for the sake of argument I wasn't overly impressed with Bolin last season from what I saw.

Quality QB for sure with nice size and arm strength... but his accuracy was severely lacking and his mobility/footwork was limited from what I saw.

Bourbon County didn't exactly play murderer's row for their competition and Bolin completed only 50% of his passes and threw for only like 132 yards per game.

I don't have much of a dog in this fight, other than keeping up with BCHS, but I will say that you, EKU, should know more than anybody that you can't judge a HS QB by completion percentage. For one, Bourbon has been a zone run team since Hodge was there. They feasted for 2 years because noone could keep up with Johnson or Hilander while respecting Hopkins and Holman who were both D1 talents. Take away Johnson and Hilander and Bourbon wsa left with 0 talent at receiver last year, which meant teams could play man and load the box against Holman, which is why if you look at the stats, Holman was not as successful either..

I know it sounds funny, but you can always tell how much a player is recruited by looking at their views on HUDL. if they are hovering in the 0-100 views mark, its probably them and their family members watching with maybe a few smaller colleges. If the views are up in the 300+ they have more than likely been to camps and word has gotten out that they have some sort of potential.

I will also say that Bolin is hands down the most accurate quarterback I saw play last year, Kash Daniel (who is a fullback playing Quarterback) included.

Take some time and watch his highlight film and count the number of dropped passes just from the highlights and you'll see what frmmgr is talking about.
