Pulaski County Maroons Defend the State Title
#14
Let's be honest, Graves pulled a couple of upsets that no one really expected them to grab. They did with Crider what Madison Southern wanted to do with Damien Harris and that was to make a deep run based around their star player. I look at Graves similar to how you look at Williamsburg. I feel there are more superior teams in the class. Pulaski would have beaten them by 3 or 4 scores had it not been a monsoon that day at WKU. Like I said, I see no real powerhouses on Mayfield's schedule. Hard to really tell where they would stack up in higher classes in my opinion. It's easy to play a 2nd tier team in each class (referring to Graves in 5A & McCracken in 6A) and think you can compete with the elite in each class. The Bowling Green's, Highlands', Pulaski's are all on another level than Graves. Just like the Trinity's, St. X's, Scott County's are all on another level than McCracken.

As far as Mayfield, it's obvious they owned 1A. I expect them to own 2A. However, they would have a lot of trouble in 3A. It's ok to agree to disagree.
