That is five games unbeaten now in the top flight for the Hammers (W4 D1) and just one defeat in their last eight. They do have goals in them because they have only failed to score in two of their seventeen matches played this season. The players to watch for them will be Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll. But when you consider that they have failed to score in each of their last three visits to Stamford Bridge then again it represents a huge task for them here. For the record, Sam Allardyce has managed just two wins in 21 Premier League games against Chelsea (W2 D6 L13) and the Hammers have failed to score in four of the last five Premier League games against Chelsea. And if we look further into the record then we can see that West Ham have won just one of their last sixteen Premier League matches against Chelsea, losing twelve and winning three. Away from home, West Ham have managed a W2 D2 L1 record in their last five games, but have conceded in each of them.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United

Manchester United failed to extend their winning run to seven matches in a row when they came unstuck against Aston Villa in their last match and that was painful for van Gaal especially as Villa were reduced to ten man. They are still unbeaten in the Premiership with a form of W6 D1 L1 so you cannot really fault them. The Red Devils do have a good record on Boxing Day as well. For the record, Manchester United have lost just one of 20 Barclays Premier League games they have played on December 26th (W17 D2 L1). And when you look at their home form it is even more impressive because United have have won 17 of the last 18, have been victorious in the last 10 in a row and have won the last 10 on Boxing Day at Old Trafford. These two was involved in a thrilling Boxing Day clas which saw Manchester United won 4*3.

Newcastle United might not have the firepower upfront to cause Manchester United problems. Their best bet remains Papiss Cisse and Perez Ayoze to get on the scoresheet here. The Magpies managed that five run winning league in the Premier League but have since suffered a drop in form with just one win in their last five played (W1 D1 L3). Last Sunday they were beaten against bitter rivals Sunderland for the third time in a row in the Premier League and that will have caused Alan Pardew side to suffer a drop in confidence as well.This season, Newcastle United have not been very strong away from home. They have scored only eight goals away from home. That low return has seen them take just the two wins away from home this season. It will be quite an amazing feat if they can repeat their win last season at Old Trafford this time around.
