The only thing that Jellico had was beer. Now that Corbin sales beer, Jellico is done. There very broke, and I don't see how the town will last financially. Its already in the hole.
I was very surprised when they put in a mcdonalds down there last year. I don't think people that aren't from southern KY knows just how small that place is. There are three convenient stores right off the interstate, an arbys and wendys, (both inside those convenient stores, a subway, a mcdonalds, and a firework sales place. After that, in town there is only a couple of funeral homes, a rite aid or something, a dollar general, and a save a lot, that's actually on the KY side if im not mistaken.
That's seriously it.
