Why do people have such a difficult time understanding that the number of classes has very little bearing on whether or not a winless team makes the playoffs?
You could have just 4 classes, and if you allow 4 teams from each district into the playoffs you will still get some teams making it that are 0-10 or 1-9. Conversly. you could have 10 classes and only allow the top 2 teams in each district into the playoffs they will all be worthy.
The issue with bad teams making the playoffs and getting blown out is a result of letting the 3rd and 4th place teams into the playoffs, period.
You want to see better games and a shorter playoff? Keep the 6 classes and just let the top two from each district in.
