Not so concerned about minimum wage as much as people bettering themselves through education and training to make more $$$ better meeting their needs.

Business owners are learning the benefit of offering more money for entry level positions to attract a higher quality of employee meeting their business needs.

Also seeing a 6-24 month ramp up in pay increase as employers get to know their employees work ethic, commitment, and consistency. Consider these performance incentives and they work. Show up, do your job, seek opportunity to get better, it's not a difficult concept for most.

Its hard to better yourself when college degrees are so watered down and there are no jobs waiting for you when you get out. My advice to kids, is think before you spend 50,000 on a degree that will only make you 30,000 a year.

Raising minimum wage at this time would cripple the middle class. If you raise minimum wage, it is obvious that certain goods will raise in price, causing you and I to spend more, thus making less money.
As hoot said, in a good economy, people don't have to worry about minimum wage. You should have enough good jobs to enter the workforce above minimum wage. If you raise minimum wage, you might as well plan on the middle class getting raises as well and the goods they supply to rise in cost as well.
So what happens? At 10 dollars an hour, your still making no money because of the inflation of goods.


Minimum wage is not the problem. Jobs are.
