The minimum wage is nothing but a political gimmick. In a healthy economy, wages would already start above the current minimum wage. Raising the minimum wage hurts people just entering the workforce in areas where the economy is weakest.l

Worthless regulations and high tax rates need to be eliminated to give American companies a fighting chance at competing in the global economy. Every cent that the government takes out of the economy or forces companies to spend complying with a new regulation is one that it cannot pay to an employee. People need to begin realizing that government is the source of more problems than it solves. Don't let the politicians that you loathe divert your attention with an issue like raising the minimum wage.
