This is true. No matter who gets the #1 seed, there won't be much benefit in the first round. I don't think there is much difference between drawing Middlesboro or Somerset, two evenly matched teams.

The main prize for getting the top seed would be in the 2nd round, when they would host instead of going on the road. But they would have to get out of a very difficult first-round game to even get that second home game.
