I beleave jc graduated 8 or 9 last year and 5 or 6 were starters. They may have the talent of paintsville or lc but they have not had the chance to show it yet. With paintsville and lc they are returning almost the entire team. Lc lost regional champ. By 1 run. Now that doesn't mean jc doesn't have hitters they may end up with the best in the state we just have not seen them in varsity action yet while with lc and paintsville they were underclassmen dominate teams last year.

The question I have about LC is who is going to replace their ace? There was a big drop off after him in the rotation and without that #1 pitcher that can go head to head with everybody else's #1, thoughts of winning region are far off. Most regional championship games or even district title games always come down to pitching and defense. Once you get to a regional championshipeverybody will score at least a run or two, but not everybody will have that pitcher with ice in his veins or a defense behind him that is lights out in late game situations? I just don't see LC improving that much on defense or having an ace they can rely on to win the region?

Having those good hitters is a good place to build around, but where do you go when one or both of them go hitless in the post season?
