It's easy to see most of you all have never been part of a TEAM. After one loss, you want to fire the coach and change the entire system. Wow, glad you all weren't fighting WWII or the world would have been different today.


Just a couple of weeks ago, you same people were pumping this team up. Now, after a bad game, and YES, it was a bad GAME, you want to scrap the season and throw in the towel and fire coaches. Amazing how fickle some of you are. Again, showing you weren't ever part of at team. Sure, you might have played a sport, but you truly didn't understand the BROTHERHOOD of being part of a team. Sticking together through the toughest of times is what bonds you more than ever. And you all have shown that you couldn't hang with these coaches or athletes in the toughest of times. Congrats. Now, do what I said earlier.....donate your LCHS gear to Goodwill and find another team to cheer for because you aren't Bulldogs.

After one loss?? Listen I have followed Lawrence County football for about 26 years now. I go to every home game and every road game that I can that work permits. I love high school football because it is the purest form of the game that I love. I have seen good, bad and mediocre football at this school in 26 years and right now we are on the edge of bad/mediocre. Not everyone can be a coach and not everyone can be a good coach. You and everyone on here knows that we have had better coaching then this in the past so why should we settle for mediocre. We have a lot of talent on this team but they are disorganized and unsound and that is all coaching. We have kids on this team who in their 4th year of playing out there on defense with no clue what they are doing and that is all coaching. We schedule some of the worst teams in the state to try and hide how mediocre we are every season. I was trying my best all preseason to have some faith in this staff and get excited about the team this year but I am seeing the same stuff that I have seen the last three years. It's all on film and film don't lie. We are playing bad teams and we have horrible fundamentals and mass confusion on both sides of the ball. What happend Friday night was beyond just a bad game. We beat this Raceland team last year who IMO was probably just a little better last year. This game should have never been a blowout but Raceland made us look like a middle school team. I saw a couple of kids on the sideline about to fight and the coaching staff was clueless. I have noticed on several occasions the kids on this team having a lack of respect or trust or something for this head coach. I have talked to a few people in PM's about this and I hesitated to post it public but the perfect example of this was in the Sheldon Clark game last year. When the team came out in the 3rd quarter after playing a bad 1st half all the kids were just standing on the sideline and the head coach was screaming and yelling for em to go out and warm up and every kid on the team bucked up and refused and just stood and looked at him. It took coach Short coming all the way down out of the booth to put a little fire under em and they ran out on the field like chickens with their heads cut off like they trust and respect him. Im not the only person at the game who saw this because we had probably 4 or 5 hundred people in the stands at the time and several other posters on here saw it also. Something is wrong with this team and staff and we have some real trust and respect issues between coaches and players and teams who are not playing up to the talent level every season and I hate to see such a waste.
