To say that you weren't "out-coached" would be putting all the blame on your players. Any good coach with any type of integrity will always take responsibility for the losses and let the players enjoy the wins. Getting "out-coached" is a phrase that is directed at descent coaches that for whatever reason was not prepared mentally or physically to compete against another team. Every good coach in the world has been out-coached at one time or another.

Well, to be honest, the team with the better players will win 99% of the time. If you have Vince Lombardi coaching a team full of JV players and playing a team full of varsity players, you think "coaching ability" will win that game? Not blaming the players, but that's how it works out. The better team will win, usually. There are times of upsets, but that normally is a combination of several things. One of which is LUCK. Yes, LUCK plays a huge part of upsets. Coaching ability is good for preparing the team throughout the week.
