You can't be the best until you beat the best and Pikeville has done that. So I think absolutely pikeville is the best team in the mountains regardless of class. If belfry can refocus and win a state title and pikeville doesn't then that changes, but as of right now pikeville should be #1. No question

May be true, IDK, but a school that sits on the banks of Paint Creek might have a good claim on that too...It will be interesting to see how the JC/ Belfry game pans out..If JC destroys Belfry by the same magnitude as they did last year, what then?...Belfry is probably the only common opponent for each school.


Anyways, congrats to Pikeville on a great win...Of course, JP knows that I always wish Pikeville well.
