Why would the Board of EDUCATION DEDICATE to athletics? It is not the board of athletics. And what is this "front office" stuff? High school education is not pro football. The reason everyone is at any school first and foremost is to get an education, not to play sports. Of course I understand that in Boone County playing sports may take precedence over education in deciding where kids go to school. Maybe the "front office" needs to hire a recruiting coordinator and staff. They could increase their revenue stream by negotiating lucrative media contracts. A concentrated merchandising blitz of player jerseys, total control of concessions and parking should generate enough revenue to field a competitive team depending on how recruiting and draft picks go.
