Owensboro is for real. They will wreck havoc in 4A. They were up 26-14 at halftime. Coach Wallace's son, Cameron a tight end, blew out his knee and is likely to miss the rest of the year. Our starting RB Jacob Yates didn't play because of an injury against St. X, but his backup, Sophmore Jamal Carouthers making his first start, had 337 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns, all but 20 yards of it was in the 2nd half. The Purples defense dominated after halftime. The Purples out scored them 28-7 in 2nd half. Our team is all beat up and will welcome McCallie Tn. Next week. The last roadblock to a new state record. It will take a Herculean effort to beat McCallie, but these guys have amazed me over the last four years. We have a chance and sometimes that's all you need.
