Well let's see, probably because the team didn't pack for an over night trip, charter buses were used to transport the team to the game, and what about the fans that drove three hours to the game? Do you honestly expect all of them to stay overnight in a hotel? The team dresses 63 players, plus coaches and staff. Then you have to consider that they team would have to be fed at least 2 or 3 times, who would pay for all of that? Not to mention, there was no way Putnam was going to be playable the next morning. Did you expect Newcath to sit around all day waiting for it to dry?

Now, we all need to acknowledge that, once the game was cancelled, it was not at all feasible to try to reschedule it. Maybe we can also admit that talk of a forfeit or that NCC was somehow "afraid" of Ashland was merely silly partisan emotion in the heat of the moment. Move on to next Friday.
