I saw something yesterday from a thunderstorm that I've never seen before. We rarely receive the "brunt" of a storm, with mountains so close to us on both sides. Normally, they will either go to our west and up that chain or to our east toward Cloverfork. Well, yesterday was different. I was in my kitchen, and then I heard this thing coming, long before it hit. So Pap and I go outside and what we saw, we had never seen before. A literal wall of water was behind the strongest winds I've ever seen. The tops of 100 foot trees were literally touching the ground. Pap ran outside; I retrieved my outside kitty and ran inside!!!! I did search for rotating clouds, but what I saw was different. They were "boiling" is my best description. Sort of rotating sideways like in the movie Independence Day. We've lost several trees, and Pap is mad. Said we wouldn't live long enough to enjoy shade in our back yard again!! LOL

These funnel clouds were documented about 2 miles north of my home. The tree that's hanging over the power lines, I can see from my front door. This tree was uprooted in Filthy Animal's front yard, and fell down the hill to land on the power lines.

Granny Bear you need to send that pic of the funnel cloud to the weather channel. Quite an amazing pic to say the least.
