Jordan Amis named Perry Central head coach

Real Badman didn't get an interview Confusednicker:

I like this hire. PCC wasn't going to get a proven coach. So why settle for someone who has been coaching for 20 years but hasn't ever won a district or region title?
Every coach has to start somewhere. Im sure the first few years will be big learning years for Amis, but I don't see Perry making a mistake with this one. If anyone, they are pretty much telling people to shove it and you wont know whats coming. And we wont. You cant prepare for a coach that you know nothing about.
The people making comments about the experience and age baffle me. I know you guys know most of the coaches in EKY and lets just say, this isn't exactly a bad hire compared to most mountain coaches. Most people don't get a shot at being a head coach so young, but I say why not? Most of your "proven coaches" that some on here are saying they wanted started being a head coach just as young. Look at what Campbell did for Whitley. Whitleys football program was almost non existent and if im thinking right, I recall the paper stating he started coaching there when he was 24 and he built a program. He didn't win titles and play for regions every year, but he made Whitley relevant setting them up for someone to take over and continue that success.

I say good move by Perry. He may go 0-10 or 10-0, but either way we'll know before the seasons over if it was a good choice or not.
