Kentucky is NOT a Mid-Western state
#34
Culturally Kentucky is definitely a southern state, in dialect, food, mannerisms, religious preference, etc.
Geographically Kentucky is considered Upper South, along with Tennessee, Virginia, southern Missouri, and the southern half of West Virginia. But the Bluegrass State is definitely southern. The only exception IMO might be the northern counties of Kentucky close to Cincinnati.
