Quick question and without looking it up. Can you tell me who played in the basketball state finals in 1988? Can you name 2 of the 8 teams who competed for the state football titles that same year?

Great point. That may the best final in KHSAA basketball history. I don't think basketball and football are even close. From grade to college it's basketball. Football is great and I love it but this isn't debatable. People talk about Kentucky high school basketball all over the country. I would say they don't talk about much in football outside of Trinity, Highlands, etc.
