I think that's the biggest upset in 13th Region history, and Bobby Keith agreed with me once when we discussed it. Cawood ended the year 24-2. I think Pineville had a losing record.
Jackson County had some real good teams in the 1990s. That was a tournament for upsets. I think Harlan had the best team in the region that year (Thomas, Jones, Cox, Lester) and lost in the semifinals to Clay County.
Now that I think about it, the 94 Harlan team and 78 Cawood team may be the two best I've seen in Harlan County.
