IMO, if a school has been consolidated.... they should have banners representing each school that was closed to form the newer school (such as the East Ky Expo Center) does during the 15th region tourney.
The banners should be the school's colors and have the the Name and Macot of the school that was closed as well. If any of the teams won a regional or state championship, they should be on the banner as well.
It's a good idea in theory. Realistically though when you become a new school you seek an identity, not the same ole ones. I'm sure the kids of Mullins would be so happy to see the Johns Creek banners hanging in Pike Central or Millard happy about all the Elkhorn City banners hanging in East Ridge or Dorton happy about Virgie banners in Shelby Valley. It doesn't bold well for community spirit.
