The state tournament is an exciting event. Classing would end that vibe as soon as it was implemented.
I've had many conversations around the country with parents from CA, GA, AL, OH etc., where there are multiple classes and multiple "state champions", and to a person, they would all love something like this to determine who REALLY is #1.
