Thanks Blackcat. People continue to make that argument. Their are wrinkles in Running style offenses. We ran the wishbone for the most part coming up through grade school and middle school. My 8t grade year we started running the Franklin System. But, from the bone or eve the wing t, you can still run out of pro sets or pro sets with a slot. Look at Raceland's offense. 90% ran out of a Ace package set. Yet, they are a run first offense. Still using 2 backs and using traps, leads, read option. I do, however, feel that too many teams get one demensional. Non district games should be used to see what u need to work on. Raceland was successful running the ball in every game this year, except for the Williamsburg game. Had they worked more on bootleg roll outs and the intermediate passing game theoufh the year, would they have won? I dont really think so, but they would have been in better position to do so. LC and Raceland went in total different directions after their game. For LC, it had nothing to do with their offense.
