Week One 13th Region Player Rankings

1. Tyler “Chip” McDaniel, Junior – Clay County Tigers

- McDaniel showed why he is the best player in the region, igniting his team in the second half on his way to a 22-point effort against the South Laurel Cardinals last week. Chip’s play was highlighted by a 4-point play, seemingly putting away the Cardinals. Not only is he talented, but he may be the smartest basketball player in the region.

2. Jordan Fox, Senior – Jackson County Generals

- The Army commit opened the season with an impressive game against Corbin with a 31-point effort in the loss. He followed that up by leading his team to a 27-point win over Bell Co. Fox is the most talented player in the region, and if he can lead his team to more wins, he has the best shot at surpassing McDaniel as the top player.

3. Zac Baxter, Junior – South Laurel Cardinals

- Baxter falls one spot in this week’s rankings, but only because of Fox’s superb play. Baxter missed the first two games of the season, but led the Cardinals to their first win on Saturday with a 63-43 win over Estill County. Baxter is a pure scorer and could lead the region in points per game this season.
