The reason to start now is so that maybe something will be done before the next season begins! I'll do you one better than your situation. I know a junior the gets the same disrespect, only now he can't get any playing time on the freshman team. You are really fortunate that your child is finally old enough to realize what he needs. Some kids don't enjoy basesball and refuse to give up on their dream of playing basketball. It's just heartbreaking as a parent to see your kids have faith in something that you know may never change.
