Time to take a look at how Petrino, Jones, Stoops, and Tuberville are doing after week 10.
Petrino:
WKU is currently 6th in the Sun Belt at 2-3 and 6-4 overall. WKU is currently not ranked in the Top 40 recruiting class for 2014. WKU is #69 in the country. Most notable win was against UK 35-26 in week 1. They have some purdy helmets.
Jones:
UT is currently 6th in the sec east at 1-5 and 4-6 overall. UTs 2014 recruiting class is ranked 2nd in the nation. UT is #64 in the country. UT beat WKU head to head on 9/7 ,52-20, and upset a top 25 ranked South Carolina team 23-21 on 10/19. Upside for Jones is the recruiting class and a better stable of athletes from prior staff.
Stoops:
UK is currently 7th and in last place at 0-5 in the sec east, 2-7 overall. UKs recruiting class for 2014 is ranked 17th. UK is ranked #119 in the country. Yes, Stoops is having to contend with what is left in Jokers closet, however, indecision at the QB position has not helped the Wildcats this season. They need to make a commitment to one and tell others to make other arrangements i.e. Patrick Towles. Add Drew Barker to the QB circus next season! Upside is a good recruiting class...
Tuberville:
UC is currently tied for 2nd in the AAC at 4-1 and is 7-2 overall. UC is not ranked in the Top 40 in recruiting. UC is ranked 44th in the country. Most notable wins have been over Purdue in week 1, 42-7, and SMU 28-25 on Saturday. SMU has the 25th best defense in the country. UC has approved an $85 million stadium renovation to be completed by the 2015 season. Jones left Tuberville a solid group of athletes and it shows so far based on their success.
Thoughts, predictions on future success or not? What do you think?
