Hats off to Pulaski...Gentlemen I came away very impressed with a few things and the first was the DEFENSE by both teams, those boys on both sides were laying the lumber. Pulaski was just stronger up front and certainly had team speed (which somebody mentioned in the earlier post). Damien I think didn't disappoint. He took two shots at the end of the 2nd quarter that left him stunned for a bit (all were perfect legal hits). Pulaski did have fumble call that they got screwed on, but I was very proud of how Madison Southern's defense played with a few good 3rd down stops in the 3rd quarter. I do not like loses but I think this game will help Southern from the stand point of understanding they need a little more from the offense other than Damien. IMO, Southern does not attempt to throw the ball to Damien or use him in a screen game and they are limited to toss right, toss left, and up the middle. I would like to see him in the slot and moved around a little more to open the field for him.

Pulaski is a very good team and I like their team. That is one of the most well conditioned teams I have seen out of Pulaski, just a bunch of stout quick kids. As expected even though I predicted a Madison Southern win Damien did not disappoint, and Pulaski is a team that can win the region. Madison Southern will be dangerous in the playoffs and hopefully we may meet again. Congrats Maroons...GO EAGLES!!!
