Blaming the Refs is silly. Yes, the officiating was one-sided but that happens from time to time. You can't blame losing a game in which Middlesboro made so many mistakes on the officials. However to all the Pikeville fans lets to a little bit of simple math. You should be able to figure it:

3 kickoffs recover within the 20 yard-line. 7x3=21.
77-21=56.

If Middlesboro doesn't make these boneheaded mistakes then the score becomes 56-46. Now lets take it a step further.

6 fumbles by Middlesboro. Pikeville did not stop the Yellow Jacket Offense all night. In fact, they couldn't. So 6x6=36
46+36=82.
That would make the final score of the game Middlesboro 82 Pikeville 56.

Now obviously I understand that this didn't happen...Middlesboro DID make these mistakes. They were not ready to play and it showed. HOWEVER, that just shows a few turn of events, Middlesboro takes care of the ball like they SHOULD have done and its a blow out the other way around. These teams were very much alike, Pikeville was much faster than Middlesboro expected. I'm not sure what the cause is however I promise Middlesboro is not a "fraud" and we aren't making "excuses". Imagine if this game did go the other way. Would you think Middlesboro was an automatic regional champion? Probably. You can't act like the Yellow Jackets aren't any good. They just didn't play good.

You can say I'm just making another excuse. However 3 plays could've turned this game an entirely different game. And Middlesboro would be 5-0 and lookin like a champ. I think this might be a blessing for the Yellow Jackets. They might have needed this loss to refocus ourselves before we play the games that really mattter
