5 days of full pad practice is all it says. He doesn't have to be released to play, just practice.
We had a kid this year, that we wasn't for sure about practice time before our scrimmage. KHSAA said 5 days in pads. that was it! Doctor release or not. He had surgery on his arm and didn't affect practicing and running in pads.

You continue to make my point. He practices 5 days in pads. So is he practicing 5 days in pads now without a doctors release for contact or does he practice 5 days after a dr release with contact. If they are practicing him now with contact he hasn't been released. Risky. Once he is released he has 5 days of contact. Just walking around with pads on does not count. Contact, to get use to it. KHSAA.
