Final from Richmond. EKU jumped out to a 28-6 halftime lead and gets the season opening win over the Colonials. Junior quarterback Jared McClain threw for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 44 yards and 2 more scores. He also hauled in 2 passes (one on a deflection) for 33 yards. The Colonels defense held Robert Morris to 55 yards rushing and forced 2 turnovers. The Colonials had former Penn State player Paul Jones at quarterback. Nice start for Eastern Kentucky.
