Something still seems amiss about the whole "proving a point" thing. If I read correctly the young man was a Sophomore who transferred in December, presumably prior to the 18th of December when the original post was made. Bottom line even if the KHSAA did rule him ineligible that would only last for a year, meaning that he would be eligible for athletics at MS presumably on or before 12/18/13. If the parents decided that it was in his best interest to go live with his dad in Berea from Lexington (roughly 30 min drive) then the question has to be asked why that decision changed upon being ruled ineligible. Regardless of if the TC staff raised enough stink to rival a pig farm. Going back to TC and not playing football to prove a point doesn't make sense as the kid will miss football season one way or another, either by his choice or by the KHSAA ruling. It seems that it would help the young man and his parents argument far more to sit at MS and become eligible for athletics in December.
I say all this to make the point that yet again, it sounds like a kid will miss a football season because of adults decisions and actions. The kid ultimately suffers and a few years down the road very very few people will be asking what if so and so hadn't missed his junior season...

I agree.. and I don't have the answer for you. Ultimately I hope it works out for him. I wasn't around him much but I know the kids really liked him.
