It is good to see Ashland beef up its out of district schedule. Adding Class 2A Champion and perennial Class 2A contender, NCC, is a positive. All of Ashland's more difficult games, other than NCC, are home games. Ashland tends to win at home. It is unlikely that Ashland can beat NCC- particularly away from home.

Those who seem to suggest that Ashland will advance in the playoffs until they play either Fort Thomas Highlands or Covington Catholic are probably correct.

You do realize that Ashland typically plays Belfry who has been the state runner up the past 3 years in 3A, correct? You can say plenty of negative things about Ashland but to question the strength of their football schedule year in and year out is rather dumb.
