Nice research! Very impressive! But here's a quick question...Since we average roughly a #2 seed since Smith started, and a #8 poll ranking is very impressive too, why can't the Cats make it to the Final Four? Being seeded that high means teams like UAB and USC knock you out after round #2 or 3. Impressive? Yes. But stats mean nothing unless it is proven on the court.

The same reason that the other 300+ teams cant get there. College basketball is just way to balanced to have a team dominate year in and year out. Especially in a one and out tournament where you got the top 64 teams giving it all they have. In Tubbys tenure there has only one repeat national champion. UCONN.. Duke wins alot of games each year just like Kentucky. They to only have 1 national championship in Tubbys tenure.
